OUR JOURNEY

From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leaders

Since our beginnings in 1989 as Steve Bell Earthmoving, Mansfield Constructions has grown from a one-man operation into a trusted name in civil construction and earthmoving.

1989

Operations commenced in 1989 when Steve purchased his first dozer. Steve Bell Earthmoving, later becoming Bells Earthmoving, quickly grew from a one-man operation to employing over 30 local staff with twenty-five pieces of plant.

Services included house sites, dam construction, bush roads, bushfire response and support, residential subdivisions, and land improvements.

2000

In 2000, Bells Earthmoving diversified its activities with the purchase of Mansfield Pre Mix Concrete. This included several quarry sites in the Mansfield area. With the addition of the concrete and quarrying activities, Bells Earthmoving changed its name to Mansfield Constructions Pty Ltd.

Over the next several years, Mansfield Constructions continued to expand its quarrying and mobile crushing divisions. Mobile crushing and screening crews were now operating throughout Victoria, NSW and further afield.

The bold decision was made to sell the Earthmoving and Concrete divisions and focus future activities on quarrying, sale of quarry materials and contract mobile crushing and screening. Mansfield Constructions sold the Mansfield Quarries to E.B Mawson’s and Sons.

2010

Ant Bateup joined the team in 2010 to assist Steve with mobile crushing and screening operations. Over the next 5-6 years, the main business focus was on establishing a strong reputation in the quarrying industry. This saw yet another name change to Mansfield Crushing Pty Ltd to better reflect the current operations.

During this time as major infrastructure projects were initiated by corporations and governments, there was an increasing demand for the raw materials to support the works. Mansfield Crushing played a vital part in ensuring the demand was met to keep these projects booming.

2016
